Bob Eichelberg has been closely involved in growing and supporting the detailing industry for 48+ years.  After college, he worked for Skil Power Tools for 12 years.  Bob was both a Territory Manager as well as moving up to the Regional Sales Manager responsible for the Western United States.  He later worked for Shop-Vac for 10 years as the Western Zone Sales Manager.  Bob then became Senior Vice President for Kel-Welco Distributors, a title which he held for six years.  He then worked for Porter Cable-Flex-DeWalt for a total of 20 years, where he was responsible for setting Flex up in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

Bob’s career in the tool industry made him a part of the detailing industry.  Throughout his lengthy career, Bob has supported the detailing industry in all its dimensions, including automotive, aircraft, and marine.

He has championed the detailing industry to the companies he’s worked for and represented and obtained their support both financially as well as in spirit and via product support.

Bob has volunteered his time to participate in and support the IDA functions, as well as all the industry tradeshows like SEMA, MTE, Detailing Seminars, and classes and car shows.  Bob has also volunteered his time and finances to support and attend industry functions that support the detailing industry.  Bob has invested himself into many of us personally as a genuine friend outside business hours.  Bob is exactly the kind of guy we would all like to have as a neighbor.  He's been a friend to all of us and has always made himself available as a resource for any function.

Besides all of the above, what’s just as important is Bob has always been a stand-up guy that has conducted himself in a professional manner in all aspects of our industry.  He’s been a stellar representative of our industry communicating, living by example, and sharing the IDA Code of Ethics.
