Rob has been a leader in the detailing industry for more than 25 years. He was an early member of the IDA, one of the first to take the original Certified Detailer (CD) exams, and one of only a couple of individuals who has served as IDA president more than once. He is an original member of the Founder's Club and has been committee chair of multiple committees. Rob has won multiple leadership awards from the IDA and has worked tirelessly from the beginning to make sure the IDA became a respected name in the detailing industry.

Rob has helped rewrite and modify the CD exams multiple times over the years. He played a major role in the creation of the Skills Validated (SV) test and was one of the original proctors that became Recognized Independent Trainers (RITs). He has also been a large contributor to the creation of all the specialty exams, including watercraft, motorcycles, RVs, and even the MC-SV exam. He holds every certification that the IDA offers to date.

As president, he pushed the IDA forward into a more technology-first position. He oversaw the making of the more interactive website, pushed for the creation of the online CD tests, and not only helped come up with the idea for the webinars, but he also ran the first one ever on CRMs. As an educator and leader, Rob has offered and taught multiple education day classes at MTE as well as hosted many roundtable discussions for detailers during the event. Rob can always be found running around the tradeshows doing whatever is necessary for the IDA to have a successful event. If staff needs help, he is always the first to step up. As president one year, he personally called every non-renewing member to see if there was anything that he could do to make sure that they were successful. Rob is always reachable and approachable to new detailers looking to expand their business. He will always take time at a tradeshow or a phone call to listen and offer advice on how to solve whatever problem that person is having.

On top of all of that, Rob also runs a very successful detailing company. He has over 100 employees in multiple states. His company runs mobile units, fixed location shops, dealerships, and auctions. There are very few detailing companies in the industry that can match the scope and size of On The Spot. If you met Rob, he probably wouldn't even tell you about any of these things. He would just talk to you about yourself, your company, and what you might need to be more successful.

Rob truly encapsulates everything there is to be a leader and innovator in the detailing industry and has spent decades pushing the industry forward.
