The International Detailing Association hosts a series of webinar presentations covering a variety of topics to help improve the knowledge and ability of IDA Members and Non-Members from the comfort of a home or office computer or any mobile device!  The webinars take place on the third Thursday of the month from February to November.

Speaker Bio:
Lars Pickhardt, CD-SV, first fell in love with leather repair at the age of 17.  In 2006, he founded his own leather restoration business.  He became a partner at Lederzentrum - Colourlock in 2009 and, in 2016, became the company's owner.  In 2021, Lars founded the IDA Germany Chapter and currently serves as Vice President of the chapter.

Session Description:
Detailing professionals have all encountered or heard of various types of leather, including aniline, semi-aniline, nappa, nubuck, and suede.  But what do those names mean exactly?  In this webinar, Lars will explain the differences between each type.  Additionally, vinyl is becoming more and more like real leather in terms of look and feel.  How can you tell the difference?  Lars will explain that too.  Finally, he will talk about vegan leather – what it is and how to recognize it.

Certified Detailers - Attending a webinar earns Certified Detailers 1 credit towards re-certification.  You must check-in to the live event to earn your credit.

Cancellation Policy - There is limited space available for each webinar.  If you register but find that you are no longer able to attend the live webinar, please cancel your registration to free up space for others.  Members can always access the webinar recording from the Quick Links menu.  Please note: no refunds or cancellations within 48 hours of the event.
