We are so excited to announce the launch of the IDA's redesigned website home page and new Learning Management System, IDA I.Q.!

A Home Page that is Ready for the Show Room Floor

You'll notice a sleeker design with more eye-catching images, featuring some of our very own members' photo contest submissions—the IDA is all about you, after all!

We've also put our resources front and center, so you can more easily find what many of you come to the website to do. We've also simplified the website's navigational menu and footer, keeping only the most essential items at your fingertips.

Another new exciting feature—take a look in the upper left corner and you'll see a language dropdown menu. You can now choose from over 100 languages to translate all text throughout the website! (Note: translations are automatically generated using machine translation technology and have not been reviewed or verified. Please excuse any errors.)

One more way we are highlighting the International aspect of our name? We have brought our Chapters to the forefront! Now website visitors can quickly see the true global scale of our organization.

We hope these improvements change your website experience for the better—as well as your overall interactions with the IDA. But don't worry—this is only the beginning. There are many more improvements to come with phase 2 of our website overhaul, including a better joining experience for new members, a more cohesive experience for logged-in members, and a more modern look and feel throughout subpages. Stay tuned!

Give Your Detailing Career a Boost with IDA I.Q.

IDA I.Q. is your new hub for certification exams—including Certified Detailer (CD) and specialty—and education, such as webinar recordings for continuing education credits (now available, with more to be added) and live webinars (coming soon).

Webinar recordings for non-Certified Detailers (or CDs not looking for credits/those who already earned credits via the live webinars) will still continue to be available via the members-only webinar recording archive.

Explore content in the LMS—browse by language, category, exam type, webinar topic; you can even search by keyword—and when you're ready to make a purchase, you'll be redirected to the main member website to checkout.

The best part is that the learning management system is all integrated with our main member website, the-ida.com, so you can use your current login credentials to sign in, and when you earn credits through IDA I.Q., they will automatically populate in your certification journal. Plus, no more waiting for exam access! When you order exams through the store on the main member website, just return to IDA I.Q., synchronize your purchased content, and instantly begin your exams—on-demand, on your schedule, and on your preferred device since it's all mobile-friendly!

Important: If you ordered and/or began taking your online certification exams (either CD or specialty) prior to Friday, March 27, 2026, you will CONTINUE TAKING THE EXAMS VIA THE MAIN MEMBER SITE, NOT IDA I.Q. Use the exam access links previously sent to you.

At this time, there are no changes to the Certification Maintenance process. Certified Detailers at all levels still need to log in to their certification journal before their expiration date to ensure proper input of their credits (which will automatically populate, if credits are earned through IDA I.Q.) and manually select and pay their correct Certification Maintenance fee.
