The International Detailing Association has developed a program to recognize individuals and companies that have made significant contributions to the detailing profession and live up to the ideals indicated in the IDA Code of Conduct.
The nominations are in, and now it's time to cast your vote! Voting is open to IDA members and non-members alike. Members, please check your email for your individual ballot invite – do NOT use the public voting links below. The
links below are ONLY for non-members and the general public.
Only one vote per category, per person. Voting closes on Friday, January 2, 2026.
Winners will be announced at the IDA Awards Gala and Annual Business Meeting to be held at Mobile Tech Expo (Friday, January 30, 2026, 5:30 pm Eastern Time, Rosen Shingle Creek, Orlando,
Florida, United States).
This award is presented to a detailing technician who has been in the industry for a minimum of three (3) years and has demonstrated superior knowledge, technical skill, and professionalism. Need not be an IDA member. The IDA Nominating
Committee will narrow the field of candidates to the top three choices to then be sent for vote. The winner will be announced at the IDA Awards Gala and Annual Business Meeting. Extra consideration will be given to those candidates
holding IDA certifications, industry certifications, and with active industry involvement. Self-nominations are not accepted. (Previously, Detailer of the Year Award)
This award is presented to a detailer who has worked in a specialty area of the detailing industry (watercraft, motorcycle, RV, aviation, specialty/heavy equipment) for a minimum of three (3) years, and that specialty comprises 70%
or more of their detailing work completed. This individual demonstrates outstanding specialty-specific skills and knowledge and lives up to the ideals indicated in the IDA Code of Conduct. Special consideration will be given to
those candidates holding an IDA specialty certification and industry certifications. Need not be an IDA member. The IDA Nominating Committee will narrow the field of candidates to the top three choices to then be sent for vote.
The winner will be announced at the IDA Awards Gala and Annual Business Meeting. Self-nominations are not accepted. (Previously, Marine Detailer of the Year Award)
This award is presented to a detailing technician or operation that has been in the industry for less than three (3) years and has demonstrated an investment in attaining superior knowledge, technical skill, and professionalism. Extra
consideration will be given to candidates for IDA or industry certifications and active industry involvement. Need not be an IDA member. The IDA Nominating Committee will narrow the field of candidates to their top three choices
to then be sent for vote. The winner will be announced at the IDA Awards Gala and Annual Business Meeting. Self-nominations are not accepted. (Now in its second year)
This award is presented to a detailing shop or mobile unit(s) that maintains an outstanding operation, including but not limited to facilities, fleet vehicles, marketing, customer engagement, operating procedures, and community outreach,
and that lives up to the ideals indicated in the IDA Code of Conduct. This award is designed for a multi-employee operation. Need not be an IDA member. The IDA Nominating Committee will narrow the field of candidates to the top
three choices to then be sent for vote. Extra consideration will be given to candidates for IDA or industry certifications, accreditations, and active industry involvement. The winner will be announced at the IDA Awards Gala and
Annual Business Meeting. Self-nominations are not accepted. (Previously, Detail Operation of the Year Award)
This award is presented to an established distributor or store whose primary business is to sell/resell detail products/supplies to the end user and has made a significant contribution to the detailing industry by meeting at least
two of the criteria listed below. The nominee must maintain a superior reputation within the industry. Need not be an IDA member. The IDA Nominating Committee will narrow the field of candidates to their top three choices that
will be put to an open vote. Extra consideration will be given to candidates for IDA or industry certifications and active industry involvement. The winner will be announced at the IDA Awards Gala and Annual Business Meeting. Self-nominations
are not accepted. (Now in its second year)
Judging Criteria – candidate must meet at least two:
Has increased awareness of the detailing industry’s professional status
Contributes to furthering structured educational programs within the detailing profession (i.e. financial, time, expertise)
Shares knowledge and experience for the betterment of the industry with no expectation of return on investment
Demonstrates exceptional customer service and engagement
This award is presented to an established product or service supplier that has made a significant contribution to the detailing industry by meeting at least two of the criteria listed below. The nominee must maintain a superior reputation
within the industry. Need not be an IDA member. The IDA Nominating Committee will narrow the field of candidates to the top three choices to then be sent for vote. Extra consideration will be given to candidates for IDA or industry
certifications and active industry involvement. The winner will be announced at the IDA Awards Gala and Annual Business Meeting. Self-nominations are not accepted. (Previously, Supplier of the Year)
Judging Criteria – candidate must meet at least two:
Has introduced new product innovations
Has increased awareness of the detailing industry’s professional status
Contributes to furthering structured educational programs within the detailing profession (i.e. financial, time, expertise)
Shares knowledge and experience for the betterment of the industry with no expectation of return on investment
This award is presented to a Recognized Independent Trainer (RIT) of the IDA who works above and beyond to advance the detailing profession and the IDA by conducting and participating in industry training events. The nominee must maintain
a superior reputation within the industry. The IDA Nominating Committee will narrow the field of candidates to the top three choices to then be sent for vote by the full body of RITs, Certification Committee volunteers, and the
IDA Board. The winner will be announced at the IDA Awards Gala and Annual Business Meeting. Self-nominations are not accepted. Click here to view

This award is presented annually to a detailing industry professional who works above and beyond to advance the detailing profession and the IDA. The candidate must be an IDA member in good standing. The winner will be selected by
the IDA Board of Directors from all nominations received and announced at the IDA Awards Gala and Annual Business Meeting. IDA Board members may not be nominated for this award. Self-nominations are not accepted.
