IDA Webinar: The Importance of the IDA in the Dealership World
Date & Time: Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 12:00 pm CDT
Presented By:
Paul Copes, CD-SV, RIT Trainer, Ardex Labs, Inc.
Paul Voros Reconditioning Manager, Vinart Dealerships
Speaker Bios: Paul Copes started detailing in 1984 as a lot attendant/delivery detailer. He quickly advanced to Protection Package Technician and cut his teeth on a 16-pound orbital polisher. His first buffer was a Sioux
grinder and what was left of wool pad. So, Paul began on his own, practicing on wholesale vehicles and within a couple of years, honed his skills an became a detailer and then a detail manager. In 1991, he went to work for Ardex Laboratories
as a sales consultant/trainer. He got involved in product development and for many years ran a successful route through training and servicing customers. In 2017, Paul joined the IDA, earned his CD-SV, and recently was awarded RIT status.
He’s proctored CD classes and SV trainings at tradeshows and currently serves on the IDA Podcast and Webinar Task Forces. He also continues to serve Ardex as a detail trainer, ceramic coating trainer, and sales support trainer.
Paul Voros is currently the Reconditioning Manager for the Vinart automotive car dealerships. He has seven years of experience as a detailer and five years as the Reconditioning Manager for Lehigh Valley Honda, Hyundai, Acura, Certified Used and
Acura Used Cars. Most recently, Paul has spent more than four years as the Reconditioning Manager at the new location of Mercedes Benz and Porsche of the Lehigh Valley.
Session Description: This webinar focuses on how quality detailing benefits dealerships with faster profits and improved customer relationships and experiences. Through the IDA, detailers can advance their qualifications to
improve their employment relationship and feel better being a member of a trusted organization. Having a certified detailer builds customer confidence to have work done in-house, and the dealership can offer more in-house detailing services
if the detailer is offered more training opportunities. As the detailer becomes more experienced and knowledgeable, they can acquire a better paying position within the company and establish loyalty.
