The International Detailing Association hosts a series of webinar presentations covering a variety of topics to help improve the knowledge and ability of IDA Members and Non-Members from the comfort of a home or office computer or any mobile device!  The webinars take place on the third Thursday of the month.

Speaker Bio:
David Ghodoussi earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1983 and his Master of Science and PhD in Organic and Polymer Chemistry from Oregon State University in 1992.  He has experience managing chemistry labs and taught general and organic chemistry labs for over three years at Oregon State University between 1983 and 1986.

David worked in R&D and manufacturing clear coat paint for Dupont and PPG for over five years.  Since 2001, he has been working in manufacturing automotive detail products for Optimum Polymer Technologies and Opti-Coat, LLC.  Overall, he has over 47 years of experience working in chemistry labs, 22 years of which have been at his current organization.

Session Description:
In this webinar, David Ghodoussi, PhD, will discuss the hazardous nature of many chemicals used in the detailing industry and safety precautions one should take while using these chemicals.

Certified Detailers - Attending a webinar earns Certified Detailers 1 credit towards certification maintenance.  You must check-in to the live event to earn your credit.

Technology - Registrants will receive access information to stream the webinar via YouTube.  Alternatively, the session will also be streamed directly to the IDA members-only Facebook Group (request to join here), and members can watch the stream in the group.  Registration through the IDA website is still highly encouraged for each session.  Certified Detailers are responsible for checking in to the live webinar to receive 1 Certification Maintenance credit.  If you did not register but watch the session in the Facebook Group, you must manually input the credit into your Certification Journal.

Webinar Recording - If you are unable to attend the live webinar, members will be able to access the webinar recording from the archives webpage.

Price - Free for members and $25 for non-members.  Non-members who join within 30 days of the webinar may apply the registration fee to membership dues* (join the IDA here).
