The complete set consists of 5 exams, 10 questions each, in these subject areas: General Knowledge, Safety, Terminology, Surfaces, and Detailing Process. You need at least an 80% or better to pass. Each candidate gets two exam attempts with initial purchase. Should you require a 3rd attempt, you may  purchase an exam retake for $10. Once you purchase the retake and submit payment, you will be required to connect with an IDA Recognized Independent Trainer (RIT) to answer any questions before you receive retake access. If you do not pass upon your 3rd attempt, there will be a 30-day waiting period before you can re-attempt the exam.

I pledge that I will complete these examinations with no outside assistance, other than reference materials, and will not allow use of the exam questions by anyone other than myself for the purpose of this certification. I understand and agree that this certification does not constitute IDA's warranty or guarantee of my fitness or competency to practice as a detailing professional. I understand and agree that I will complete these examinations within 12 months and failure to do so will forfeit my rights to complete the exams. I understand and accept the terms of Certification Maintenance and understand that failure to comply will result in loss of my certification. I authorize IDA to include my name in a list of RV-certified persons and will use the CD, RVC designation and related IDA trade names, trademarks, and logos only as permitted by IDA policies.
