Speaker Bio:
Kevin Clapp is the owner of Texas Premier Polishing – one of the top metal/paint polishing companies in the world – and is considered one of the icons of the industry.  You may recognize Kevin and his team from the many very informational viral "How To" videos they have produced, or you may have seen him doing what he does best polishing live at a car/truck show.  For the better part of the last decade, Kevin and his team have been known to hit every major show from slammed and lifted cars/trucks to big rigs to show off their skills.  Kevin's work definitely speaks for itself, but what sets him apart from others is his willingness and ability to teach his craft to the next generation of metal finishers and polishers.  As the founder and director of ShineU – the top metal/paint polishing academy of its kind – Kevin has trained and certified 500+ people, creating some of the best polishers in the nation.  For the last eight years, Kevin worked with Zephyr Polishes as a consultant and helped with branding and product development in helping build the brand to where it is today as well as writing and teaching their training program.  As of May 2022, Kevin joined Renegade Products USA / Maverick Abrasives as a consultant/brand ambassador for the industry leader.

Session Description:
During this presentation, Kevin will walk you through the steps to achieve a perfect mirror shine on aluminum.  Topics will include sanding/resurfacing the surface, proper safety methods and polishing techniques, cutting patterns, when to sand, what products to use when and where, differences in metal, and final finish and coating.
