As we wrap up the first month of Q2, I’m excited to share some highlights of the IDA’s progress so far this year.
One of our biggest accomplishments has been the launch of our new Learning Management System, IDA I.Q. If you haven’t had a chance to explore it yet, I highly encourage you to take it for a test
drive. This system has significantly streamlined the certification process for our members, reducing the amount of manual work required to issue certifications. It has also made exams more efficient and accessible by moving them fully online.
Another major win this quarter is our newly redesigned website home page. A big thank you to Erin at ADS (our association management company), along with Rod Puzey, CD-SV, MC, WC, and Jody Sedrick, for
the countless hours they’ve dedicated to creating a fresh look, improved navigation, and an overall better user experience. And we’re not stopping there—this is just phase one of bringing our website into the future.
We’re also excited to see increased engagement across our committees. More members are stepping up and contributing their time and energy toward achieving committee goals, which is a
great sign of a strong and growing organization.
Throughout April, we have been celebrating IDA Meet & Greet Month. This has been a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow members, exchange ideas, and welcome new faces into our community. We encourage everyone to take advantage of Meet &
Greets when they pop up in your local area throughout the year—check the event schedule.
In addition, we held the first of two Global SV Weeks this year, with participation from Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Colombia, Germany, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It’s truly exciting
to see the global reach and impact of the IDA. Save the date for the next Global SV Week, October 12–18!
Thank you to everyone who attended last month’s Town Hall. If you haven’t participated in one yet, it’s a great way to stay informed, ask questions, and make your voice heard. Be
sure to mark your calendar for our next Town Hall on June 11.
As always, it is an honor to serve as your president. Your feedback and ideas are incredibly important; after all, everything we do is for our members. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and share your suggestions so we can continue to grow and improve
together.
