Welcome to the Member Spotlight Łukasz Sroka, CD-SV, RIT, Vice President of the IDA Poland Chapter and owner of Detailing Academy.

International Detailing Association (IDA): How did you get into the detailing industry? Łukasz Sroka (ŁS): I first got involved a few years ago. I had the first step with auto detailing in 2004. Together with my colleague,
we started washing and polishing small boats and a few cars.
IDA: Please tell us your business’s story. ŁS: In 2007, I opened my detailing studio and detailing shop. By 2011, my customers could find more than 300 detailing products in my shop. In 2013, I started offering my first detailing
training. In 2016, I opened the Detailing Academy project. Today, in my 850-square-meter business you can find detailing workshops, around 5,000 different products, and various detailing trainings.
IDA: In what products or services does your company specialize? ŁS: We specialize in car detailing, marine detailing, leather repairing & restoration, and PPF application. We also provide detailing training and sell detailing
products.
IDA: What do you think is the most important factor to being successful in the detailing industry? ŁS: People like to care about vehicles, boats, and airplanes. They like to see it fresh, shiny, and glossy, like brand
new.
IDA: Are there any awards/certifications/accomplishments that you or your business has earned and would like to share with us? ŁS: I proudly represent one of the biggest detailing shops in Poland. I have such certificates
as official Colourlock Trainer, official FLEX trainer, official RUPES trainer, authorized RUPES Training Center, official ShineMate training center, and official GYEON detailing studio & shop.
IDA: What is the best advice you ever received? ŁS: Details are the most important.
IDA: What tips do you have for the new detailer? For the experienced detailer? ŁS: Always do what you like, what you feel free with, and what you love.
IDA: Why did you decide to get involved with the IDA? ŁS: I see many differences between detailers and their quality of service in my country. I hope that the IDA will help to select good detailers with good behaviors
and make them stand out. At the same time, I hope the IDA will continue to raise awareness of the detailing industry and its standards.
IDA: How has your involvement with the IDA affected your business and your career?ŁS: I can't say anything about it yet. It is too early. But I see that everything is going in a good direction and I feel I will see some
changes soon :)
