New Member Resource:
Standard Operating Procedures

The IDA Industry Standards Task Force is excited to introduce a new member resource: Standard Operating Procedures!

We have released our first SOP in relation to the “Exterior Wash Process”.  This standard operating procedure was made possible by YOU, our IDA members!  The Industry Standards Task Force’s last Global Survey compiled data about exterior wash processes/preferences from IDA members in 17 countries; this data was then analyzed by the Task Force to create a baseline order of operations meant to consistently produce a quality exterior wash.  Please remember, this is one proven order of operations widely agreed upon as best practice, but it is not the only way.

Check out the standard exterior wash process on the Standard Operating Procedures resource webpage!  And, keep an eye out for the Task Force’s next Global Survey where we will continue to gather data from members worldwide on various aspects of detailing to continue adding to the new resource section.  (Hint: coming soon, Global Survey #7: Standard Interior Detail Process!)

Check it out!
