Volunteer on a committee and be part of the future of the IDA!

IDA’s Board and Committees have planned and strategized in January and February to outline the association’s most important goals and projects for 2025. Goals have been set and committees are hard at work, but we still need your help! Get in on the action and join an IDA committee today. Committees meet virtually via Zoom once per month, and their work is vital to the forward momentum of the association as a whole. Committee leaders are listed below – feel free to reach out if you have any questions about projects, goals, or getting involved. Familiarize yourself with each committee, choose the one that best fits your own expertise and interests, and submit a volunteer interest form today!

Certification Committee

The IDA Certification Committee governs the IDA Certification Program, sets guidelines for certification exam materials and processes, and develops and oversees implementation of new certification phases. Please note: You must be an IDA Certified Detailer to volunteer on this committee.

This committee typically meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 12:00 pm Central.

International Chapter Development Committee

The IDA International Chapter Development Committee works to promote the international chapter program by facilitating the formation of new chapters and optimizing the engagement and results of existing chapters.

This committee typically meets on the second Monday of each month at 11:00 am Central.

Marketing & Communications Committee

The IDA Marketing & Communications Committee oversees communications from the e-newsletter to e-blasts, and both the member-facing and consumer-focused websites. MarComm also develops and administers IDA’s sponsorship and advertising programs.

This committee typically meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 2:00 pm Central.

Membership Committee

The IDA Membership Committee spearheads membership marketing campaigns and member recruitment/retention programs. This committee also assesses and improves existing member benefits and implements new member benefits to meet the needs of our members.

This committee typically meets on the second Friday of each month at 11:00 am Central.

Social Media Committee

The IDA Social Media Committee was formed to increase the IDA's social media presence across all platforms. Members of the committee act as liaisons to other IDA committees to promote their highest priority projects and goals.

This committee is not currently seeking additional volunteers; however, SoComm is always seeking content featuring IDA members – be sure to watch for and respond to calls for content in the IDA Facebook Group!

Tradeshow & Education Committee

The IDA Tradeshow & Education Committee facilitates IDA participation at various industry-related tradeshows. The Committee also coordinates IDA University at tradeshows and training facilities, as well as development of webinars and other educational offerings.

This committee typically meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 12:00 pm Central.
