We’re in the heart of detailing season – and it’s showing!

For many of our members around the world, things are picking up fast. Here in the UK, my own business has seen a major surge in recent weeks – and I know many of you are feeling the same momentum. But if things seem slower on your end, don’t go it alone. Reach out to the community. That’s the power of the IDA – connection, support, and shared success.

It’s been amazing to see so many posts from Meet and Greet events happening across the globe, along with a wave of certification events underway. It’s inspiring! Keep that energy going – tag us in your social media posts and help spread the word. The more people see what we’re doing, the stronger we grow.

I’m often told the public doesn’t always know what the IDA is. But here’s proof that’s changing. Just a couple of weeks ago, I stopped by a dealership for some warranty work, 70 miles from home. Wearing my work gear with IDA patches, I was approached by two complete strangers. Both had chosen IDA Certified Detailers for their vehicles. One of them even said he used the Detailing Nearby website to find a pro and chose them because of their certifications. That’s the impact we’re making. So always take time to explain to clients why the IDA matters – and make sure you’re listed on Detailing Nearby (edit your profile here)!

Also, a big shoutout to Barry Theal, CD-SV, RIT, who’s been absolutely crushing it on the podcast front. If you haven’t tuned in yet, you’re missing out. He’s featured some amazing voices from our industry and has more exciting guests on the way.

Finally, mark your calendars: June 12th is our next IDA Town Hall. Registration will be opening soon, and you won’t want to miss it. I’ll be giving a mid-year update and sharing some key info you’ll definitely want to hear.

Estamos en plena temporada de detailing, ¡y se nota!

Para muchos de nuestros miembros en todo el mundo, la situación está mejorando rápidamente. Aquí en el Reino Unido, mi propio negocio ha experimentado un gran auge en las últimas semanas, y sé que muchos de ustedes están sintiendo el mismo impulso. Pero si las cosas parecen ir más despacio, no lo hagan solos. Conéctense con la comunidad. Ese es el poder de la IDA: conexión, apoyo y éxito compartido.

Ha sido increíble ver tantas publicaciones de eventos Meet and Greet en todo el mundo, junto con una oleada de eventos de certificación en marcha. ¡Es inspirador! Mantengan esa energía: etiquétennos en sus publicaciones de redes sociales y ayuden a difundir el mensaje. Cuanta más gente vea lo que hacemos, más fuertes nos volveremos.

A menudo me dicen que el público no siempre sabe qué es la IDA. Pero aquí tienen la prueba de que eso está cambiando. Hace solo un par de semanas, visité un concesionario para un trabajo de garantía, a 112 kilómetros de casa. Con mi uniforme de trabajo y parches de IDA, me contactaron dos completos desconocidos. Ambos habían elegido detallistas certificados por IDA para sus vehículos. Uno de ellos incluso comentó que había usado la página web Detallando Cerca para encontrar un profesional y los había elegido por sus certificaciones. Ese es el impacto que estamos generando. Así que siempre tómense el tiempo para explicarles a sus clientes por qué es importante la IDA, ¡y asegúrense de estar en Detallando Cerca (edita tu perfil aquí)!
