That’s why we’re deeply committed to professional training and ongoing education for detailers of all levels. From shop owners to new techs, we’ve hosted a wide variety of hands-on events, brand-specific classes, and IDA certification days.

Our trainings are practical, efficient, and focused on real-world application. We don’t just hand out product samples and call it a day. We teach techniques, build confidence, and help detailers make money.

Past Trainings We’ve Hosted

We’re proud of the high-quality events we’ve brought to Western Colorado and beyond. Here’s a look at just some of the training opportunities we’ve provided in recent years:

🔹 Rupes Marine & RV Training

One of our most unique events was a Marine & RV paint correction training with Rupes. This was a specialized hands-on class focused on large-format polishing, gel coat correction, and polishing pad selection for boats, RVs, and toy haulers.

Attendees learned:

• How to approach oxidized gel coat and fiberglass restoration

• Polisher and pad selection for large panels and curved surfaces

• Differences between marine gel coat and automotive clear coat

• Time-saving techniques and workflows for oversized jobs

This class wasn’t just for locals — we had attendees from across the Western U.S. and even some who flew in from farther away. It was one of the most comprehensive marine and RV trainings available to detailers outside major metro areas.

🔹 Paint Correction Bootcamps

We’ve hosted multiple paint correction trainings featuring both our in-house experts and guest instructors from leading brands.

These deep-dive events covered:

• Surface prep, decontamination, and inspection

• Polish, compound, and pad selection for various paint types

• Techniques for DA, rotary, and gear-driven polishers

• How to assess paint hardness and adjust your approach

• Live correction demos on real vehicles

• Pricing and packaging paint correction as a service

These trainings are ideal for detailers ready to move beyond basic services and into higher-margin correction and restoration work.

🔹 P&S and 3D Product Trainings

Our long-standing relationships with P&S Detail Products and 3D Car Care have allowed us to host multiple brand-specific trainings on products, techniques, and system building.

These events offered:

• Hands-on use of soaps, degreasers, interior cleaners, and dressings

• Foam cannon, bucket wash, and waterless/washless techniques

• Polish and protect systems like 3D ONE and P&S Clarity Creme

• Interior detailing approaches with proper dilution ratios

• Best practices for integrating ceramic coatings from each brand

Our most recent 3D and P&S event was so impactful, it drew attendees from across the country, including detailers from the Front Range, the Pacific Northwest, and the East Coast. When training quality is high and the brand partners are engaged, people are willing to travel — and that’s exactly what happened.

🔹 IDA Certification Events

Western Colorado Detail Supply is proud to host International Detailing Association (IDA) Certification Events, including:

• Certified Detailer Written Exams

• Skills Validation Testing (SVT) with IDA-recognized trainers

We support detailers as they prepare for and complete IDA certification. Our events are structured to help attendees pass their tests, build confidence in their technical skills, and improve their professionalism and marketability.

Certification matters — and we’re here to make it accessible to pros in our region and beyond.

🔹 Ceramic Coating Trainings

We’ve also hosted ceramic coating training sessions focused on surface prep, installation technique, and real-world success with coatings like:

• P&S Inspiration

• 3D Ceramic Coating

• Nasiol Ceramic Systems

These events help installers dial in prep procedures, master their application techniques, and understand how to sell and support coatings — especially when it comes to warranty-backed or finance-integrated systems like Nasiol.

More ceramic coating trainings are coming soon, including advanced application workshops, warranty compliance training, and dealer onboarding sessions.
