For those of you that did not make the trip to Mobile Tech Las Vegas this year, I have some advice for you in regard to what you should next year…go! The IDA had a substantial presence at MTE Vegas and met a lot of new people that had never made the trip to Orlando! While the size comparison between MTE Vegas and MTE Orlando is substantial, the opportunity for growth is incredible, and the members of the IDA that attended this year can attest to that. I had the privilege of meeting so many incredible new people that all seemed perplexed that the IDA was not as big as it should be in their area. Some people had no idea what the IDA was because they have never known anyone that is associated with it and they work in the car care industry!

MTE Vegas provided the IDA with an opportunity to go to an area on the west coast and meet a lot of people from California and locals from the Vegas area. But we also saw a lot of people that came up from Texas that had not been to MTE Orlando, which was great! The energy and excitement was refreshing as people would come to the booth excited to begin their journey with the IDA. We gained ten new members at the show. We also welcomed six new Certified Detailers and eight new Certified Detailers-Skills Validated. I had the privilege of meeting one individual who joined as a member on Thursday morning, became a Certified Detailer by Thursday afternoon, and then got Skills Validated by Friday! What a great opportunity to get so much accomplished in one place, over just a couple days

The MTE Vegas show represents another opportunity to continue growing the IDA and reach people in an area where the detailing industry is extremely prominent, but where the IDA still has room to grow. I know how difficult it is to step away from your business for just a few days, especially at the time of year MTE Vegas took place, but I would encourage anyone and everyone to plan accordingly, take the time away, and head to MTE on the west coast next year. Regardless of how you feel about MTE Vegas, I hope to see everyone make a big turnout at MTE Orlando 2020 at the end of January. I’ll be at the booth, so come say hi!
