The IDA strives to recognize its detailing professionals who go above and beyond the call of duty to help promote their business and detailing community. These awards honor the highest examples of hard work, passion and effort displayed by detailers across the globe.
This year’s award winners were announced at the 2020 Mobile Tech Expo in Orlando. The ceremony took place during the Annual Business Meeting and Awards Banquet. A total of five awards were presented: Detail Shop of the Year, Detailer of the Year, Detail Supplier of the Year, Mobile Detailer of the Year, and the Outstanding Service award.
The Detail Shop of the Year was awarded to Detail Lex and was accepted by Daryl Lyons, CD-SV. “Our management & staff at Detail Lex are honored to be selected as the 2019 Detail Shop of the Year,” Daryl said. “We have a passion for what we do and are thrilled to bring that level of service to our customers and our community. To all those that we have had the privilege of serving, who have trusted us in the past, continue to believe in our future, and those that help make the detail industry stronger, we thank you!”
The Detailer of the Year award was presented to Claude Harris, Jr., CD. Working in the industry for 28 years he opened his business, Final Appearance Auto Detailing last June. “It has not always been easy but when you win a national award like Detailer of the Year from a major professional organization like the IDA, you wouldn’t give anything for the whole experience!”
The Detail Supplier of the Year was awarded to Professional Detailing Products (PDP) and was accepted by Mike Dickson, CD-SV, RT. “The whole PDP team is gratified by the recognition of their efforts by their peers, and also is gratified to see how the rising tide of the IDA has lifted up and boosted the efforts of all its members.”
The Mobile Detailer of the Year was presented to Pro & Local Detailing Inc. and accepted by Paul Frasco, CD-SV. “I was shocked that I won.” Paul told us. “There were a lot of amazing people nominated and it was very hard for me to accept the award knowing that I am no better than the other guys that I was up against. I'm very grateful to have won it, thank you!”
The Outstanding Service Award was presented to Daniel Baker, CD, of Ziebart Corporation for his many years of dedication to the organization, through his volunteering on committees and the Board of Directors.
