The IDA Business Development Webinar Series is open to IDA Members and Non-Members alike. The webinars take place on the first Friday of each month at 2pm Central.
Speaker Bios: Before becoming a Financial Advisor, Howard was a serial entrepreneur for over 20 years. Since 1986 he has launched, managed, and sold six different companies including Sail New Haven, a non-profit sailing/windsurfing school; Sailways, a sailing/windsurfing retail mail order company; Performance Snowboarding, the world’s largest snowboard mail order company; SnoBoard Magazine, a national consumer publication; GH Applied Technologies, an herbal supplement company; and The Harvey C. Salon, a high-end salon and day spa. He brings a wealth of finance, marketing, and management talent to his financial services practice.
Michael earned both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with 4.0 Scholar Athlete, Dean’s List, and Academic All-Ivy League honors. He started his financial services career working in private equity and funded companies across all subsectors of healthcare, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical technology, life science tools, and healthcare services. He later founded a private tutoring company, Bass College Prep, that counseled hundreds of students and parents through college admission, financial aid, and athletic recruitment processes for the world’s most selective universities.
Session Description: Personal credit refers to an individual's creditworthiness, which is assessed by financial institutions based on their credit history and financial behavior. While personal credit primarily affects individuals' ability to borrow money or obtain credit cards, it can also be crucial for business owners, especially those operating small businesses or startups. Join us for this webinar to learn why personal credit is important for business owners and some tips for improving yours.
