President's Letter – November 2025

There’s something magical about this time of year. With the holidays quickly approaching and the promise of a new year on the horizon, the season carries a spark that feels impossible to ignore. For those of us in the northern hemisphere currently in the midst of autumn, maybe it’s the crisp air, the golden light…or maybe it’s the satisfying crunch of leaves underfoot as I walk with my little boy through our local nature reserve.

But beyond the beauty of the season, autumn brings something else—a wave of energy, connection, and truly incredible events for our detailing community.

Back in October, Global SV Week was nothing short of electrifying. The enthusiasm and participation we saw across the globe filled our feeds and our spirits with IDA pride. One moment that stood out to me personally? A young gentleman in Belgium, one of the youngest in Europe, stepping up to take and pass his exams. What an achievement! And he wasn’t alone. Congratulations to everyone who earned their certifications, and a heartfelt thank you to our Recognized Independent Trainers. Your dedication continues to elevate the standards of our industry and inspire professionals around the world. Save the date for the next Global SV Week (the first of two, starting in 2026!), April 13–19.

Next came SEMA. Although I couldn’t make it out this time, the photos, messages, and reactions made it clear: I missed one incredible IDA Meet & Greet! From an outstanding turnout to handing out nearly 200 special edition IDA t-shirts, the energy was off the charts. The feedback on the event and on the IDA as an organisation has been phenomenal. Thank you to everyone who showed up, supported, and represented our amazing detailing community—YOU ROCK!

If you haven’t already marked your calendar, consider this your personal invitation. Our next IDA Town Hall is coming up, and trust me—you’ll want to be there. We launched these Town Halls to bring leadership and members together in a meaningful way. They’re your space to:

✨ Connect directly with IDA leaders
✨ Hear important updates
✨ Contribute to discussions shaping the future of our association

This upcoming session will cover:

• Major achievements from the year
  
• Updates on ongoing projects
  
• What’s ahead as we look toward 2026
  

These gatherings are some of the most impactful events of the entire year, and I truly hope to see you there.

We’ve accomplished a tremendous amount together so far, but we’re not done. There are still key projects to complete and more milestones to cross before we turn the calendar to a brand new year (and look ahead to MTE 2026!).

Autumn reminds us of change, momentum, and the beauty of progress. And this community? You embody that spirit every single day.

Let’s finish the year strong, focused, inspired, and united.
