The members of the IDA Founder’s Club are the sole stewards of the Founder’s Endowment Fund. These funds are granted for programs and projects that align with the goal of the Endowment Fund: to further detailing education and training for future detailers.

Detailer AI LLC

Funds granted to support development of v2 Det(AI)ler application. One of the most significant challenges detailers face today is information uncertainty. Det(AI)ler was created to improve access to accurate, professional-level detailing knowledge for both new and experienced detailers. The application combines over 20 years of real-world professional auto detailing experience with the power of OpenAI technology to deliver clear, consistent, and reliable guidance on detailing processes, business development, product and tool usage, and best practices.

Website Redesign Project

Funds granted to improve the member experience and learning experience via the IDA website, supporting the vision to be the premier source of information and support for the global professional detailing community.

The Founder's Endowment Fund grant request form is now open for submissions through October 31, 2026.

The selected applicants will be announced and presented at the IDA Awards Gala and Annual Business Meeting. For Endowment requests that are more time-sensitive, exceptions may be made to the approval and fund distribution timeline.

Examples of projects/programs that would be eligible for an Endowment Fund distribution: establishing a new education program for future detailers, funding the acquisition of new tools and equipment for a training center, supporting a charitably run re-education program. View past recipients here.
