IDA Certification Events

Tuesday, January 21, 2020   (0 Comments)

As many of you already know, the “I” in IDA stands for International. What some of you may not know, is that we take the “I” very seriously when it comes to the IDA Certification Program. While the United States is buzzing with IDA activity through membership, webinars, tradeshows, meet and greets, and certification events, a lot of our members probably aren’t familiar with all of the activity going on across the pond in Europe, Asia, or even down in South America. Just to give you an idea, we currently have 171 IDA Certified Detailers outside of the United States, and of those 171 Certified Detailers, 125 of them have gone on to get their Skills Validated. Approximately 16% of the IDA’s Recognized Trainers are operating outside of the United States full-time, and that isn’t giving credit to those of our Recognized Trainers from the US that constantly travel to other countries to perform trainings.

The IDA his hitting a global scale more than it ever has. We have multiple driven individuals striving to establish the IDA in their countries and regions, because they see the purpose of the IDA and the standard it brings to the detailing industry. A few individuals from our European Chapters are so eager and driven to furthering the IDA’s mission and reach, that within the first 20 days of 2020 they held a massive certification event and certified 18 new individuals that are not even accounted for in the numbers listed above. Huge shout out to the IDA Belgium/France Chapter, Erwan Gouriou, and Alan Medcraf on this hugely successful event!

The IDA is growing rapidly. Our programs are developing, our membership is expanding, and with that – the IDA needs to develop as well. The IDA is developed and operated by people like you. Individuals that volunteer their time and skills and have a hand in developing the IDA and the industry by getting involved with an IDA committee. If you have not taken the chance to get involved on a committee, please consider doing it now. With the growth of the IDA moving as quickly as it is, we want to hear your voice and gain your help in continuing to develop the IDA.

If you are interested in checking out getting involved on a committee, go ahead and follow this link.

If you have thought about joining a committee, but have questions or concerns about what it would take, please reach out to me directly via phone or email at the contact information below:
