Date & Time: Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 12:00 pm CDT

Presented By:

Josh Hernandez
Founder, Aviation Detailing Association

Speaker Bio:
Josh Hernandez is an aviation professional who has been involved in the industry since enlisting in the U.S. Air Force at the age of 17. Stationed in the United Kingdom for the duration of his enlistment, he honed his skills as a jet engine mechanic for the F-15 Strike Eagles. Following his military service, he worked as a government contractor, performing similar duties as an Aerospace Propulsion Technician, where he continued to develop his expertise in aviation.

Josh pursued certifications as an A&P Technician and further enhanced his qualifications with an Inspection Authorization certificate. He has worked with various companies specializing in aircraft maintenance, ranging from small general aviation aircraft to corporate private jets and even World War II aircraft. As a lead technician he demonstrated exceptional leadership and technical abilities.

Transitioning into entrepreneurship, Josh founded SparrowHawk Mobile Detailing, a national franchise specializing in aircraft detailing. He also co-created the SkyGlide Aviation Detailing Products line, offering high-quality aviation-grade detailing products, and founded the Aviation Detailing Association, which has members across the globe, to promote standards and best practices in the industry. Additionally, he became a licensed insurance broker specializing in the aviation sector, providing comprehensive coverage for pilots, aircraft, MROs, FBOs, and airports.

As a pilot, Josh owns a T-41 “Mescalero” aircraft, further exemplifying his dedication to aviation.

Originally from Alvin, Texas, with deep roots in Hobart, Oklahoma, Josh is proud to call both places home. He is married to his beautiful wife, Shawna Hernandez, and together they have two wonderful daughters, Brooklyn and Peyton.

Josh is excited to contribute his knowledge and experience to the Lone Star Flight Museum, inspiring future generations to appreciate the rich history of aviation.
